BOOSTING UNITS AND FLARES

Boosting units suck the gas from the landfill and transfer it to gas engines or flares.
The blower inside the boosting unit sucks the biogas which is collected through the pipes at the landfill and transfers it to the engines and/or to the flares. With the analyser inside the booster unit receives information from flowmeters and pressuremeters, based on this, the PLC systems ensures that the biogas is transferred to the gas engine with the required pressure and flow rates in order to achieve maximum electricity production.

Flares serve biogas removal in order to reduce the emissions. All flares supplied by convex are automatic. We have different types of flares in our portfolio, such as close/semi-open, insulated and with automatic temperature control. In addition, we supply static flares which are placed directly on gas wells for direct combustion without control or limitation. These flares can be used in small or rehabilitation landfills which do not have booster units.
